Everybody loves a good drink, but we all go a little too far sometimes. Getting louder is about those times, when you might be having fun, but you might be taking away from everyone else's fun. That regret in the morning, when you can't remember what you've done, and your friends tell you about things you wish you didn't do. About getting louder and more obnoxious, about that drunk alter-ego you wish never came out. We've all been there, and we'll probably all go there again, but this song is a tale of caution, to try and find your limit and stop there.
lyrics
I left myself near a
glass of water which
Swiftly turned into wine
Found a perfect place
Just kept on going
Self destruct in 5
Sleep comes easily
When u get knocked out
The simplest alibi
But when you're waking in the gutter
And it's not getting no better, remember
You promised an end
Getting louder and prouder
The sound will make you grin
Until that river runs dry
We’ve had enough
When we say we’ve had enough
But it's hard to say when you can hardly speak
And we want it all
And it feels like everything
But then who needs to feel when u can’t see
Who needs to feel when u can’t think
Straight at all
Straight at all
No can't think straight at all
Twinkle twinkle little eye
No longer such a beautiful thing
The morning sun is telling me my fun
Has turned into a problem again
But I probably won't learn
Probably won't turn over a new leaf in my head
But I'll definitely say
And I'll definitely claim
That I'll never be the one to wander in the insane
Getting louder and prouder
The sound will make you grin
Until that river runs dry
We’ve had enough
When we say we’ve had enough
But it's hard to say when you can hardly speak
And we want it all
And it feels like everything
But then who needs to feel when u can’t see
Who needs to feel when u can’t think
Straight at all
Straight at all
No can't think straight at all
And all along we're down in the dirt again
Oh we keep scrubbing
Thinking we're cleaner then
It's not a race but we're not winning
Crawling under
Getting louder and prouder
The sound will make you grin
Until that river runs dry
We’ve had enough
When we say we’ve had enough
But it's hard to say when you can hardly speak
And we want it all
And it feels like everything
But then who needs to feel when u can’t see
Who needs to feel when u can’t think
Straight at all
Straight at all
No can't think straight at all
