about

Broken mirror is about poisonous relationships. Sometimes love is blind, and sometimes it's just plain stupid. People often stay in bad relationships for longer than they should; out of a sense of duty, a fear of loss, blind devotion or just laziness. But some people really aren't meant to be in relationships, at least not in that period of their life. So this song's about when you fall for that girl or guy who's poison to you. You might learn some lessons from them, but it's hard to know that at the time, it just hurts.

lyrics

You’re the
Crack on the pavement I step over
So I don’t break my mother’s back
You’re the shattered broken mirror
Giving me seven years bad luck
You’re the tread on my tyre
That’s worn down Just enough
I’m not usually superstitious
But my luck has struck such a bad chord with you

I cross my fingers
You won’t point your bony fingers at me
Cross my heart and hope to die
Your eyes slide into the east
It’s not a question
Of why or even how you do it to me
Our past is really all the answer I need

You're the wibble wobble ladder
I walk under
Without looking up
Cuz I know that downs the only way I'll go
If I keep drinking from the very same cup
Noise and poison
Follow you like two fish in a pond
It’s not just paranoia
You are the destroyer of me

I cross my fingers
You won’t point your bony fingers at me
Cross my heart and hope to die
Your eyes slide into the east
It’s not a question
Of why or even how you do it to me
Our past is really all the answer I need
All the answer that I need
The answer the answer the answer the answer
I need
Yeah our past is really all, It’s really all the answer that I, that I need
